On August 7, the President of the Republic of South Ossetia Anatolii Bibilov met the President of the Republic of Abkhazia Aslan Bzhania, who arrived to the Republic of South Ossetia on an official visit.
For a solemn meeting, a guard of honor was lined up at the front entrance of the Presidential administration, the State flags of the Republic of South Ossetia and the Republic of Abkhazia were raised, and the anthems of the two countries were performed.
Official negotiations were held between the President of the Republic of South Ossetia A. I. Bibilov and the President of the Republic of Abkhazia A. G. Bzhania.
The presidents of the two countries discussed issies of further development and strengthening of friendly South Ossetian-Abkhaz relations, exchanged views on topical international issues.
Then, negotiations were held between the South Ossetian and Abkhaz sides in an expanded format.
At the end of bilateral negotiations in a narrow and expanded format, Anatolii Bibilov and Aslan Bzhania held a joint press conference for media representatives.
