On September 27, an official delegation of the Republic of South Ossetia, headed by President Anatolii Bibilov, arrived on a visit to the Republic of Abkhazia to participate in festive events dedicated to the Victory and Independence Day.
As part of the South Osetian delegation, Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmitrii Medoev.
President of the Republic of South Ossetia Anatolii Bibilov and members of the South Ossetian delegation laid flowers at the monument to volunteers from South Ossetia who died in the 1992-1993 Patriotic War of the People of Abkhazia.
The ceremony was attended by Vice-President of the Republic of Abkhazia Badra Gunba, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Daur Kove, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Republic of South Ossetia Alan Elbakiev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of South Ossetia to the Republic of Abkhazia Oleg Botsiev, veterans-volunteers from South Ossetia.
