On August 24, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev met with the Head of the Main Foreign Policy Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Dmitry Palamarchuk, who arrived Tskhinval at the head of the delegation to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the recognition of the state independence of the Republic of South Ossetia by the Russian Federation.
Akhsar Dzhioev thanked the guests for their visit at such a difficult time for Pridnestrovie, emphasizing that the main issues today are maintaining peace and security in the region, and noting the importance of the negotiation process and the peacekeeping operation on the Dniester.
Dmitry Palamarchuk conveyed congratulations to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the RSO on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PMR.
During the conversation, the parties exchanged opinion on the state of South Ossetian-Pridnestrovian relations, which are traditionally friendly, and some aspects of the regional agenda were also touched upon.
The participants of the meeting expressed confidence that the dialogue of friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation between South Ossetia and Pridnestrovie will continue making good headway, being filled with new concrete content.
The meeting was attended by A.S.Pliev, the Head of the Official Representation of the Pridneprovian Moldavian Republic in the Republic of South Ossetia, I.N.Molchanova, the Head of the Department for the foreign missions functioning provision and finances of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pridnestrovie, as well as T.Ts.Dzhidjoev, the Head of the Department of Foreign Relations of the South Ossetia Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
